A perfect routine for birthday party magic shows! Packs flat and plays BIG! Invite the birthday child and one of their friends to assist with some magic. You display some large jumbo playing cards each depicting a big bold black letter. After some verbal fun with the letters you hand the cards to one of your helpers and instruct them to shuffle them, but not to mix them. Huh? Next you bring out a small red ribbon, stating it is a BIG ribbon. The kids will be quick to tell you it is NOT big. You try to stretch it, but nothing happens. Hand one of the ends to the other helper and instruct them to pull. All of a sudden the ribbon begins to stretch and stretch until it is seven feet long!

Next you display a black gift bag with the word MAGIC on the front. You show the bag undeniably empty, turning it upside down, placing it over the child’s head etc. Have the assistants drop the red ribbon and the cards into the bag. Retrieve the ends asking each helper to hold one end. Ask the audience to wiggle their fingers at the bag and say the magic words “Happy Birthday Sally!” Instruct the helpers to walk in opposite directions. To the surprise of all, the ribbon appears with all the cards attached to it spelling out the message HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

What a perfect way to end the show with the birthday child holding the special message, making it a great opportunity for photos!
